The Toronto Maple Leafs are nearing a return to full health.
Forward William Nylander said he is “good to go” for Monday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Nylander previously missed three of four games with a lower-body injury.
His injury troubles began in late October against the Buffalo Sabres, when he seemed to feel pain after taking a hit to the midsection in open ice from forward Jason Zucker.
He missed the next game, returned for one, then sat out two more.
Nylander has three goals and 12 assists in nine games, sitting second on the team with 15 points.

His return could cause a shuffle among Maple Leafs forwards. Bobby McMann, who has just three points (two goals, one assist) in 12 games, skated as an during morning line rushes.
However, head coach Craig Berube said he won’t necessarily be scratched against the Penguins.
Meanwhile, defenceman Chris Tanev, who left Saturday’s game in a stretcher, is “doing fine,” per Berube.
Tanev stayed overnight in Philadelphia for “precautionary reasons” but has since returned to Toronto.
