The Toronto Maple Leafs are down to their third goaltender in the second round.
Matt Murray entered Game 5 against the Florida Panthers in the third period after Joseph Woll allowed five goals on 25 shots.
Murray spent most of the season in the AHL but has been backing up Woll this series after Anthony Stolarz was injured in Game 1.
The appearance was Murray’s first in the NHL since late December when he appeared in his only two games for the Leafs this season. His last playoff game was in 2020, when he was a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
