The teaser of Many Many Happy Returns, the upcoming Malayalam film starring Kalidas Jayaram, has been unveiled by the makers, offering a glimpse into a tender romance and a young man’s idealistic notions about love. Directed by Ahammed Khabeer, the filmmaker behind Kerala Crime Files and Madhuram, the film brings together a promising cast for what appears to be an emotionally driven romantic drama.

A father-son conversation about love sets the tone for the teaser, with Lal and Kalidas Jayaram sharing the screen. Their exchange introduces Kalidas’ character as someone who has spent considerable time imagining what love should look like. He appears to have built an elaborate fantasy around romance, complete with dreams of the perfect relationship and the person with whom he hopes to share his life.

That idealised vision of love soon takes a more tangible form when Lakshmi Jyothish enters the picture. Many Many Happy Returns sees Ahammed Khabeer explore a different space after his work on Kerala Crime Files and Madhuram. While his previous projects have explored crime and romance in distinct ways, his latest film appears to be built around the personal and emotional journey of its protagonist.

The technical crew includes cinematographer Jithin Stanislaus, editor Mahesh Bhuvanend and production designer Sharath Kumar KV. Govind Vasantha has composed the music, with lyrics penned by Vinayak Sasikumar and Suhail Koya. The combination of the composer’s music and the film’s romantic premise could prove central to its overall mood.

Ahammed is also producing Many Many Happy Returns along with Hassan Rasheed under their Monkey Business banner. The newly released teaser offers only a brief introduction to the characters and their world, leaving the larger narrative under wraps. However, its focus on romance, family conversations and the expectations surrounding love gives the film a warm and accessible first impression.
