It was the final day of the WSL2 season yesterday. Charlton Athletic went into the match at the top of the table but suffered a 2-0 loss to promotion rivals Birmingham City, who snatched the title. Crystal Palace also cruised to a 6-1 win over Portsmouth to take the second automatic promotion spot, dropping Charlton down to third.

The London-based side will now face Leicester in a play-off later this month to determine who will take the last available spot in the WSL for the 2026-27 campaign.
