
A man has been killed after a police car collided with a pedestrian.
The incident happened in Acocks Green, Birmingham, just before 7pm on Wednesday.
The police car was responding to a 999 call after the force were alerted to a man carrying knives on Warwick Road.
The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, died at the scene. The two officers in the police car were unhurt.
Birmingham Police said the family of the victim is being supported, and that they are in contact with the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
