Man arrested in investigation of objects left on highway near Bennington

Deputies have been investigating at least four incidents of drivers either hitting or swerving to miss large objects left on Highway 36 at night — from a coffee table to a chair, and even a kid’s bicycle. In one instance, a young married couple escaped with their lives after dodging what they thought was a television in the middle of Highway 36 on a dark night in December.
