Tanaka is a forward/center, and really has a combination of size (5’11”) and skill and athleticism for the Fujitsu Red Wave of the Women’s Japan Basketball League from 2019 to 2023. In her final season, she averaged 47.7% (FG) and 69.9% (FT) for games played 28. In addition to her club career, Tanaka played many times for Japan at various youth levels for their U16, U17, and U18 Asia Championships from 2011 to 2014 and their U17 World Championship.
