They include the Bitterol Spritz – a take on the ever-popular Aperol Spritz, Strawberry Daiquiri, Mojito and Pina Colada.

The travel-sized cans will be perfect for sunny drinks in the park or on the beach.

The Met Office earlier confirmed the UK basked in the hottest May on record on Thursday, with temperatures climbing to a balmy 28C.

However temperatures are expected to fall gradually over the bank holiday weekend to around average by Monday.

Another three exciting new flavours will be released on May 20, ahead of the Spring Bank Holiday the following week.

These are Espresso Martini, Cosmopolitan and Margarita.

Here is the full list of flavours you can get in stores now:

Passionfruit Martini – 95p Strawberry Daiquiri – 95p Rum and Pineapple – 99p Pina Colada – 99p Mojito – 95p Raspberry Mojito – 95p Raspberry Vodka – 99p Vodka Diet Coke – 99p Bitterol Spritz – 89p Summer Punch – 89p Rum and Cola – £1.49 Gin and Tonic – 99p Diet Gin and Tonic – 99p Pink Gin and Tonic – 99p Cosmopolitan (available from May 20) – £1.99 Espresso Martini (available from May 20) – £1.99 Margarita (available from May 20) – £1.99

Lidl says the Bitterol Spritz is “mixed with crisp Prosecco and a refreshing splash of bitter orange”.

The Margarita will be perfect for those looking for “a little more punch”, it says.

Meanwhile the Espresso Martini is described as “smooth and rich with a strong coffee kick”.

The Passionfruit Martini is said to be “an exotic twist on a classic”.

Lidl’s range of new tinnies appears to rival a range brought out by fellow discount supermarket Aldi back in March.

Aldi‘s range starts from 99p, so the Lidl range is slightly cheaper.

The supermarket’s Daiquiri cans are 99p, while its Infusionist Spicy Margarita costs £1.99.

Meanwhile Aldi’s Hard Seltzers cost £1.09 – 53% less than the iconic White Claw drinks.

The 125ml cans quickly became a hit on social media, with shoppers raving about the drinks.

One person wrote: “They are so good aren’t they! I actually went and got more today.”

Another said: “They are delish.”

Someone else wrote: “These r amazing…. Espresso martini also great.”

Supermarkets often offer deals on cans of alcohol with multi-buy offers.

In Tesco, you can get four cans for the price of three if you have a ClubCard.

Asda and Waitrose also have a four for three deal.

Sainsbury’s has the same although it also includes small bottles of wine and craft beer.

The Co-op has a deal where if you buy one you get the second half-price.

How to save money buying alcohol

Alcohol can be pricey if you’re planning a party or hosting an event but there are ways to cut costs.

It’s always important to drink responsibly, here, Sun Savers Editor Lana Clements share some tips on getting booze for the best price.

Stocking up can mean big savings on drinks, especially if you want to buy wine or fizz.

The big supermarkets regularly offer discounts of 25% when you buy six or more bottles of wine. The promotions typically run in the lead up to occasions such as Bank Holidays, Christmas and Easter.

If you know you are going to need booze later in the year, it can be worth acting when you see offers.

Before buying your preferred drink make sure you shop around to find the best price – you can use a comparison site such as pricerunner.com or trolley.co.uk.

Don’t forget that loyalty cards can unlock better savings so make sure you factor that in too.

If you like your plonk, wine clubs can also be a good way to save money and try new varieties. You’ll usually have to pay a membership fee in return for cheaper price so work out if you will be buying enough to make the one off cost worthwhile.
