THE Spice Girls’ former manager is in talks for them to reunite as avatars just like ABBA.

Simon Fuller has pitched the idea to the band — as he did with the Swedish pop superstars, insiders say.

It would see holograms of Geri Halliwell-Horner, Mels B and C, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham playing their biggest hits.
Victoria, who was not part of their 2019 tour, was said to have suggested she would agree if the others did.
A source added: “Simon is desperate to have one last hurrah with the Spice Girls and this is his latest idea. He was the person who came up with the original idea for Abba and their digital show and he thinks this model could work perfectly for the group.
“Touring again looks unlikely — someone like Victoria for example is never going to be a ‘working member’ of the Spice Girls — so this seems like the best option.
“Simon pitched the idea to the group and they seemed receptive.
“Even Victoria said she would be behind it if all of them had agreed. She wouldn’t stop it.
“Simon knows this plan would mean the band would be making money in their sleep and it would open up their music to a whole new generation.
“It’s a really exciting concept and he thinks he could make it work.”
It comes nine years since Simon pitched the idea to ABBA, who eventually went elsewhere with a more futuristic idea.
Their avatar show in East London has proved a massive success and is now in its third year.
Victoria has previously said she approved of the plan.
Asked on US TV in 2022 what she thought of a virtual residency for the band she replied: “That is a great idea.”
The Sun told last month how Geri secretly met Simon in Miami to discuss plans to reunite in 2026 — 30 years since debut hit Wannabe.
Mel C also hinted at a reunion, saying earlier this year: “We have to do something special. Obviously, I can’t say too much but we are talking about things. Hopefully a nice little world tour!”
