With countless Coronation Street characters having been arrested and imprisoned in recent weeks, it makes a change for one to be released, but that is exactly what is set to happen next week.
Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) has been serving a custodial sentence in the STC for several months for his role in Mason Radcliffe’s murder.
Mason was killed by his brothers, who stabbed him after Dylan brought a knife into their fight.
In the STC, Dylan was tormented by Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey), who has since been released and is currently living just behind Coronation Street.
Fearing for his son’s safety, Sean Tully (Anthony Cotton) confronts Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty) and warns her that Dylan is due to be released the following day and doesn’t want any trouble from Brody.
Back on the street, Dylan convinces Sean to take him for a quiet lunch at the café, instead of the celebration at the Bistro he had planned.

When Brody wanders into the café, Sean promises Dylan that he will protect him – but Dylan warns that it is Brody who should be watching his back…
When Dylan later follows Brody into the ginnel, what does he plan to do?
Later in the week, Dylan is dismissive when Sean informs him that his college has agreed to have him back.

When he spots Brody laying into Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) for shopping him to the police after he bragged to her about stealing vodka from the shop, Dylan comes to her rescue.
With Brody having taken a step towards her, what will Dylan do to protect her? Could things be set to get violent landing one or both of the boys back in the STC?
Viewers will know that Betsy and Dylan shared a kiss before his trial – could this be set to spark a more long-term romance between them both?
