Major change at Tesco as famous toy chain set to open in 2,000 Express supermarkets

SHOPPERS will spot a major change at over 2,000 Tesco Express stores following a major change.

The Entertainer has announced it will launch a selection of its toy lines in Tesco’s smaller branches from this month.

Shoppers will be able to pick up a host of value toys with prices ranging from £1.50 to £7.

The range of toys will include Hot Wheels, TY and Addo brands.

It is not clear when the more than 2,000 The Entertainer concessions will have finished opening in the Tesco Express stores.

Andrew Murphy OBE, group chief executive officer of The Entertainer, said the retailer was “thrilled” to be opening more concessions in Tesco stores.

He added: “We look forward to building on these great foundations with such a supportive and accomplished partner and to further demonstrate the strength and versatility of our ‘Toy Box’ retail solution for multi-category retailers.”

It comes after Tesco launched The Entertainer concessions at 850 Tesco supermarkets, creating 1,200 jobns.

The rollout across the Tesco branches was completed in October.
