Mai Shiranui EX Bishoujo Figure Compared to Original

At TGS 2025, Kotobukiya shared new looks at the King of Fighters 98 Mai Shiranui EX Bishoujo figure that offers an updated take on a statue that first debuted in 2022. It is expected to release in May 2026 in Japan and June 2026 worldwide. She’ll cost 16,500円/$129.99. The original is still available worldwide at various stores, but often costs over $140.

While the pose of the King of Fighters 98 statue remains the same, many elements are changed for the Mai Shiranui EX Bishoujo figure. It is still based on the same Shunya Yamashita art. It is still a 1/7 figure that is just over eight inches tall (210mm). The difference this time is the paint job for the item and some new designs for its base. She is still designed to look like she’s standing in the JAPAN STREET stage, but this time the manhole is more detailed. The skin tones are also designed to look more realistic.
