There’s serious tension building on the cobbles next week in Coronation Street, as Maggie finds herself at the centre of growing drama, and one shocking moment leaves those closest to her questioning everything.

Things are already strained as Maggie becomes increasingly fixated on Megan. With emotions running high, she decides enough is enough and takes matters into her own hands.

While Ben and Eva try to reassure themselves that staying out of it is the best option, hoping Will keeps his distance from Megan, it quickly becomes clear that’s not the case. Unbeknownst to them, Will is still visiting Megan at her new flat, keeping the connection very much alive.

Maggie, however, isn’t prepared to sit back and watch it unfold. Convinced she needs to step in, she tracks Megan down and confronts her directly, making it clear she wants her to stay away. It’s a tense encounter, and it’s not long before things escalate.

Soon after, Lisa turns up to speak to Maggie with some unexpected news: Megan has reported her to the police for assault. Maggie is quick to deny any wrongdoing, insisting she hasn’t done anything of the sort.

Still, the situation leaves her rattled, and after being questioned further, she decides to confront Megan again, determined to get answers and clear things up. But with emotions already running high, it’s unclear whether this second meeting will make things better or much worse.

Elsewhere, the fallout is being felt by others too. Over at No.1, Daniel Osbourne opens up to Ken Barlow, admitting he feels completely used by Megan. He believes she was only ever interested in getting closer to Will and used him as a cover.

Ken is clearly concerned by how bitter Daniel has become, especially as the situation continues to spiral around them all.

Back in the thick of it, Maggie’s behaviour becomes harder to ignore. In a heated moment, she corners Will and pushes him for answers, convinced he’s still in love with Megan. She even goes as far as suggesting that the baby could be his, putting him firmly on the spot.

It’s an intense confrontation, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Hearing the argument, Ben and Eva rush in, with Ben quick to defend Will and call Maggie out for her behaviour.

But it’s what happens next that really raises eyebrows.

In the heat of the moment, Ben lashes out, telling Maggie that he would have been better off if she had died instead of his dad. It’s a harsh comment, and one that stops everything in its tracks.

Rather than brushing it off or firing back, she responds in a way that leaves Ben unsettled, clearly picking up on something that doesn’t quite add up. It’s a subtle shift, but enough to make him start questioning things.

With suspicions beginning to form and tensions continuing to rise, Maggie suddenly finds herself under a different kind of spotlight.
