Maggie (Pauline McLynn) turns her acerbic tongue on Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) in Coronation Street next week as the gap between Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale) and his family only continues to widen.

Megan has finally been exposed, with brave Sam Blakeman informing his step mum, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), that she’s been grooming and sexually abusing Will.

Despite his fears, Sam was immediately believed by Will’s entire family, with the Driscolls and Battersbys rallying together to ensure justice is served.

Megan has been abusing Will since before his family arrived in Weatherfield and assumed control of the nation’s most iconic pub. In fact, Will was the last Driscoll to rock up, determined to stay in Hull so he could continue his relationship with Megan.

Megan, of course, engineered her own move to the cobbles, allowing her to continue their disgusting dalliance, while also using Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) as a cover, and shutting down a former victim who came to Coronation Street seeking to reunite with her.

When Sam discovered the truth, though, another hideous side of Megan came out, as she launched a campaign of sheer cruelty against the youngster.

A predator through and through, she used his dedication to his education against him by sabotaging his school work and threatened to ‘expose’ him as a pervert after discovering the camera he planted in her flat to catch her out.

After turning to ADHD medication and collapsing, Sam opened up to Leanne, who wasted no time in informing their wider family. Though Megan acted up a storm in response to the accusation, there was no turning Eva and her sisters. She’s guilty and they know it.

They’ve encountered two enormous problems, though. There’s zero proof that Megan has committed any crime at all, and with Will utterly unwilling to drop his ‘girlfriend’ in it, his family are at their wits end with how to proceed, despite the ‘witches of Eastwick’; Leanne, Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) baying for blood.

When they worked out that the girl Will shared a hotel room with on his birthday wasn’t his ex but was, in fact, Megan, Will’s dad, Ben (Aaron McCusker), tried to request the CCTV, only to find out it’s long since been deleted.

When Ben calls a family meeting, Will remains determined to keep Megan out of trouble, despite his family’s protestations that her refusal to commit to a DNA test heavily implies her guilt. When an angry Maggie brands her a witch and implores Will to be honest, he storms away.

While Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) suggests a counsellor for Will, it seems that his family are only unwittingly pushing him further toward Megan. Can anyone convince him that he’s been groomed?
