MARRIED At First Sight star Amy Kenyon has revealed she has returned to her day job.

The 28-year-old, who wed Luke Debonon during the last series of the Channel 4 show, is working in sales after struggling to make ends meet by doing social media.

Amy told us: “I just work in sales. I need a stable income. With social media it’s this job here, this job there kind of thing and I’m starting to be a bit more selective now with who I work with and what I promote. So I don’t think I’d ever leave my job.”

But Amy – who recently underwent facial surgery – has struggled returning to a 9-5 after finding fame on the show, telling us: “It has been really rough.”

Amy was working as a wedding planner before landing her job in sales.

Just two weeks into her new job she went on holiday and during that time her series of MAFS started airing.

On her return things were rather different, she explained: “I went back into the office and everyone was sort of like not gossiping but saying little bits about it and I’ve never really felt part of the team.

“I have felt really uncomfortable going into work feeling like people are asking questions about me to people but not to my face.

“I feel like I’m the topic of conversation.”

Amy has made the decision to work from home now saying her boss has been “really supportive”.

She added: “I have to go to the office on Fridays, but I’m riddled with anxiety about it even though it’s just one day a week.”

NEW LOOK

Amy recently underwent surgery after being cruelly trolled doing her time on the show.

She flew to Phoenix Clinic in Istanbul to have canthopexy – a surgical procedure that tightens the outer corner of the lower eyelid.
She also had her boobs redone, after having her previous implants in for over ten years.

Amy tied the knot with Luke on the most recent series of Married At First Sight UK before she dumped him during the vow renewal ceremony after he made some shocking comments.

At the end of the series, after a rocky time during the experiment, Amy made her feelings clear when she arrived at the vow renewal dressed for a funeral.

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”

She savagely told Luke: “I know my worth and you aren’t worthy of me. This marriage is done, dead, deceased.

“I stand here in front of you today wearing black to mourn its death. RIP.”

She was later linked to another groom – Adam Nightingale – but insists the pair were always just friends.
