Madharaasi OTT release: The Tamil film Madharaasi, released in theaters just three weeks ago, is now coming to entertain audiences on OTT platforms. Prime Video announced its global streaming on Friday. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film is a psychological action thriller. It captured audiences' attention from its first day, but its box office collections were lower than expected. However, the action thriller is set to make its OTT debut.

Prime Video shared a video on Instagram, writing, "Brace yourself for a mad ride with yours truly, Madharaasi." The film stars Sivakarthikeyan, Rukmini Vasanth, Vidyut Jammwal, Biju Menon, Vikranth, and Shabbir Kalarakkal in pivotal roles. The film will stream on Prime Video starting on October 1st. It will be available in India and over 200 countries. Viewers will be able to enjoy it in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Madharaasi follows Raghu, played by Sivakarthikeyan, a car showroom employee who suffers from a rare mental illness. Due to this disorder, he mistakes strangers for lost relatives. Meanwhile, NIA officer Premnat, played by Biju Menon, recruits him for a secret mission involving a gas cylinder factory, which is actually a weapons storehouse. Raghu's mental state, his traumatic past, and his emotional bond with Malath, played by Rukmini Vasanth, add depth to the film's story. Vidyut Jammwal plays the villain Virat, while Vikrant plays Chirag.

Madharaasi grossed approximately Rs 61.86 crore in India and approximately Rs 97.69 crore worldwide. However, this collection was considered quite low considering its large budget. Released in theaters on September 5, the film received positive reviews from both audiences and critics, particularly A.R. Murugadoss's direction and Anirudh Ravichander's music were praised.
