
Netflix has officially released the first teaser trailer for Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Destination Wedding, a new film that sees Madea and her family heading to the Bahamas to celebrate a wedding.
What happens in the Madea’s Destination Wedding trailer?
The new trailer sees Madea and her crew heading to the Bahamas for the wedding of Tiffany, Brian, and his ex-wife Debrah’s daughter. Predictably, the family gets into a lot of chaos as they party on their tropical getaway.
Madea’s Destination Wedding is set to premiere on July 11, 2025, exclusively on Netflix. Check out the trailer below (watch other trailers):
Madea’s Destination Wedding stars Tyler Perry, Cassi Davis Patton, David Mann, Tamela Mann, Taja V. Simpson, Diamond White, Jermaine Harris, and Xavier Smalls. The film is written and directed by Perry, with Perry, Angi Bones, and Yolanda T. Cochran attached as producers.
“Brian and his ex-wife Debrah are shocked to learn their daughter Tiffany is engaged to a rapper she met on a yacht—and the wedding is in two weeks. Madea and her crew head to the Bahamas, stirring up chaos and heartwarming fun,” reads the film’s logline.
Destination Wedding is the second Madea film to be released in creative partnership alongside Netflix, following the incredible success of 2022’s A Madea Homecoming. The film also marks the 20th anniversary of Madea’s cinematic debut, as the character first appeared in 2005’s Diary of a Mad Black Woman prior to becoming the massive franchise star she is.
