MADAME WEB Star Dakota Johnson Won't Even Watch The Movie; But She Doesn't Watch Any of Her Movies

Madame Web has been bombarded by nothing but bad reviews seeing it as one of the worst superhero films ever made, and yeah… I’m not sure who would argue that after seeing the movie. I’m baffled by the fact that Sony Pictures actually allowed this movie to get made with that awful script. I mean… what!?

Well, the film’s star Dakota Johnson has admitted that she hasn't watched her movie yet and says she probably never will. For her sake, yeah, that’s probably a good idea.

During an interview with Magic FM, the actress spoke about how she avoids watching her own films so she doesn’t go into some kind of "existential crisis." She says she regularly leaves the premiere of her films to go have dinner instead of watching her films. When asked if she would watch Madame Web, she said:

"I probably won't... I don't know when I'll see it. I don't like to. Not watching my movies is, like, self care."

I’ve always found it interesting that some actors don’t watch the movies they make. You’d think they would to help them become better actors. You know, how athletes watch themselves to help them fine-tune their skills and improve on their talents. You’d think actors would do the same thing, but I guess not!

Remember that time when Johnson said you’ll love the movie so much, you’ll watch it twice? It’s just so funny that she said that having never watched the movie. If she ever does watch it, she’s gonna hate it.

When asked if she'd be interested in returning for a sequel, she said:

"If they want me to come back then I definitely will. I have no idea what's in store."

Yeah, I seriously doubt that Sony Pictures will be greenlighting a sequel after this complete train wreck of a film.

In the film, “In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who may have clairvoyant abilities. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women destined for powerful futures… if they can all survive a deadly present.”

Madame Web stars Dakota Johnson's Cassandra "Cassie" Webb, Sydney Sweeney as Julia Carpenter/Spider-Woman, Isabela Merced as Anya Corazon/Araña, Celeste O’Connor as Mattie Franklin/Spider-Woman,Tahar Rahim as Ezekiel Sims, Emma Roberts, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps (The Upshaws), and Adam Scott (Severance).

The film was directed by S.J. Clarkson (Jessica Jones).
