Love & Hip Hop’s Sidney Starr Arrested on Child Sex Abuse Charges

Reality television personality Sidney Starr has been arrested in Georgia in connection with allegations involving a minor. The former Love & Hip Hop: New York cast member is facing multiple felony charges, while authorities have released limited information due to the involvement of a juvenile. The case is now being handled by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office.

Sidney Starr arrested on child sex abuse charges in Georgia

Reality TV personality Sidney Starr has been charged with multiple felony offenses following her arrest in Georgia over allegations involving a minor. The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities withholding additional case details because the alleged victim is underage.

According to PEOPLE, Starr was arrested on August 2, 2026, at an Embassy Suites hotel in Hapeville. She is facing charges of aggravated child molestation, sexual battery against a child under 16, and sodomy. Atlanta News First, citing an arrest warrant, reported that Favors allegedly admitted to performing oral sex on a boy and claimed the encounter was consensual.

The reality TV star is currently being held at the Fulton County Jail, while the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office is handling the prosecution. Following the arrest, Starr’s mother, Stephanie Favors, told TMZ that the allegations were “completely out of character” for her daughter.

Starr has also denied the allegations. In a statement provided to the publication, she said she “unequivocally denies the allegations against her and intends to vigorously defend herself through the legal process.” She added, “Allegations should not be mistaken for fact, and public opinion should never replace due process,” while thanking supporters for their patience and requesting privacy as the legal proceedings continue. 

Starr is best known for appearing on the ninth season of Love & Hip Hop: New York in 2019. She later appeared on Baddies ATL and Baddies South, and has also been featured on Botched and Black Ink Crew: Chicago.
