As we eagerly await the release of Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning, it's become clear that this eighth installment in the Tom Cruise-led franchise is going to be a culmination of the previous section action pictures. As Ethan Hunt (Cruise) embarks on what will undoubtedly be his toughest (and perhaps final) mission, recent promotional materials—such as that epic final trailer—seem to imply that loose threads from previous films will be tied up here. Chief among them is the infamous Rabbit's Foot weapon from Mission: Impossible III, a device we know next to nothing about. This begs the question: Is The Final Reckoning really going to reveal the secret after all these years?
