While nothing has yet been confirmed (and we're still likely a long way off), the prospect that Longmirecould return in some form or another is a mighty fine one for many. The truth is, we've missed Sheriff Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor) since he retired and rode into the mountains in search of long-lost treasure, and although author Craig Johnson has kept us occupied with more Longmire novels each year, there's something about the television version played by Taylor that we just can't shake. So, if it's a matter of cracking the story, perhaps the creatives ought to give Johnson's mysteries another glance, because they may contain the key to our hero's next appearance.
