Lone Holdout Juror in Lindsay Clancy Murder Trial Releases Statement

The lone black holdout juror in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial released a statement to NewsNation on Thursday and pushed back on claims that he expressed doubts about his decision to refuse to side with the other eleven jurors.

Eleven jurors were ready to acquit Lindsay Clancy even though she admitted that she had fatally strangled her three young children.

Lindsay Clancy sent her husband, Patrick Clancy, out of the house to run errands while she strangled their three young children to death in January 2023.

The prosecution argued that Lindsay Clancy should be charged with premeditated murder because she planned the killings and knew what she was doing was wrong at the time of the murders.

Clancy was never diagnosed with postpartum psychosis.

Judge Sullivan earlier this month declared a mistrial after the jury was deadlocked because one lone juror refused to buckle under pressure.

The holdout juror, Michael Desronvil, was doxxed after NBC Boston spearheaded a harassment campaign against him.

Michael Desronvil broke his silence earlier this week in remarks to Life Site News and said eight of the jurors behaved like “activists.”

On Thursday, Desronvil, a devout Christian and son of a Haitian immigrant, released a statement to NewsNation.

“I didn’t have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence present,” Desronvil said in a statement to News Nation.

“Based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presents, I thought it was enough proof that she [Clancy] knew exactly what she was doing and planned,” he said.

Desronvil has reportedly lawyered up.
