Lollapalooza 2026 Lineup: John Summit, WORSHIP and More Among Dance Acts

Lollapalooza returns to Grant Park in Chicago this summer, boasting a lineup that commands a sizable draw for dance music fans.

Lollapalooza is no stranger to dance music, and this year’s lineup shows that isn’t changing anytime soon. The Chicago festival’s organizers have unveiled all 146 acts set to perform in Grant Park from July 30 – August 2, 35 of which fall into the electronic category.

The biggest and most buzzed-about among them is John Summit, a hometown house music hero whose post-pandemic rise has left him in an enviable position. Artists on the lineup who cater to a similar fan base include Duke Dumont, Dombresky, MPH, and Disco Lines.

But the Lollapalooza 2026 lineup also includes drum and bass collective WORSHIP, heavy bass DJ Alison Wonderland, German genre bender Boys Noize, and contemporary happy hardcore figurehead horsegiirL. And it represents more than dance music’s idiosyncratic side. Pop EDM acts The Chainsmokers and Empire of the Sun are also slated to perform, offering accessible fare for more casual fans.

Outside of dance music, pop acts like Charli XCX, Lorde, Olivia Dean, and Tate McRae enjoy prime placement on the lineup graphic, as do bands like The XX and The Smashing Pumpkins. Also billed are rappers like Lil Uzi Vert and Freddie Gibbs, rock-rap crossover star Yungblud, post-punk band Viagra Boys, and even the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Initially intended to be a farewell tour for former Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, Lollapalooza’s unexpected 1991 success led its organizers to bring it back year after year. After a hiatus that lasted from 1997-2003, Farrell revived Lollapalooza as a reunion tour for his band, with the event brand transitioning into a one-off festival in 2005. At first, billings focused on grunge, industrial, and hip-hop, but the format expanded to platform other genres.
