Bringing decades of experience in world building and Hollywood IP creative development, recently appointed Creative Director Feng Zhu previewed elements of LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS’ future slate at this week’s GDC Festival of Gaming in San Francisco.

In a talk called “Creating IP Through Understanding,” Feng Zhu revealed LIGHTSPEED “90:10 Balance” philosophy in game design.

Feng Zhu, Creative Director at LIGHTSPEED STUDIOS, said the following:

“The core philosophy is to apply a systematic IP creation logic, enabling the team to build a complete and self-consistent IP framework from the ground up that helps teams across teams understand that creating IP isn’t only about art, but about a deeper understanding.”
