Getting left alone can take a mental toll on anyone. Eiza Gonzálezand Aaron Paul felt their own sense of isolation while working on Ash. A departure for Flying Lotus after his directorial debut, the adult animated comedy Kuso, Ash is set on a distant planet where a woman (González) wakes up and finds out that her entire crew at the base camp has been massacred. Unaware of what could have caused the destruction, she goes on a quest for answers, and that quest takes a gnarly turn.
