Another fan-friendly matchup has been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night event in Vancouver.

Huntsville, Ont.’s Kyle Nelson is set to face New York’s Matt Frevola, while Oklahoma’s Cody Gibson will take on China’s Aoriqileng, the UFC announced Friday.

Both fighters will be looking to rebound from knockout losses their last time out.

Nelson was finished by short-notice replacement opponent Steve Garcia in September of 2024. Prior to that, the 34-year-old Canadian was on a four-fight unbeaten streak, including a TKO win over veteran Bill Algeo.

Frevola, meanwhile, has been knocked out in two consecutive bouts. The 35-year-old was stopped by a Benoit Saint Denis head kick in November of 2023 and by a Fares Ziam knee 12 months ago.

Gibson is coming off a submission loss to Da’Mon Blackshear back at a UFC Fight Night in March, while Aoriqileng lost a unanimous decision to Raul Rosas Jr. at UFC 306 in September of 2024.

UFC Vancouver takes place Oct. 18 at Rogers Arena and marks the organization’s first trip to the city since UFC 289 in June of 2023.
