
A release date for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, also known as Knives Out 3, has been released.
Wake Up Dead Man will be the third film in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out franchise. Daniel Craig is once again reprising his role as Benoit Blanc in the film after having previously played him in 2019’s Knives Out and 2022’s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

Knives Out 3 — Wake Up Dead Man — will be released via Netflix on December 12, 2025.

In addition to Craig, the cast of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery includes Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.
“I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is,” Johnson said on X when the project was first announced. “There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.”
Production on Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery officially wrapped in August 2024.
In addition to the Knives Out movies, Craig recently starred as William Lee in Luca Guadagnino’s Queer movie, which was released in 2024. He is believed to be eyed for a role in Greta Gerwig’s Narnia movie, which is set to release in 2026, and is also in talks to star in Damien Chazelle’s next film that will reportedly take place in a prison.
Knives Out is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, while Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery can be viewed on Netflix.
