“My whole body is bothering me.” This was Josh Hart’s statement after the game 5 loss to the Pistons. It was not only him but even Jalen Brunson suffered an injury during the game, which many believe was the turning point for Detroit. Now, the Motor City has the chance to level the series and force game 7. What about the Knicks player who suffered an injury? Will they prove to be the deciding factor? All the questions were answered on the latest broadcast of Inside the NBA.
To help the crew, Stephanie Ready was on the sidelines providing the much-needed information. First updating about the captain of the Knicks, the TNT reporter said, “When he was asked today about the times he’s left the game, was it due to the ankle, he would not even confirm the reasons why he was leaving. The Knicks are being very tight-lipped.” Brunson appeared to roll his ankle last game, and that’s why the concerns about the Knicks’ top scorer.
So, the New York team is being cautious with their update regarding JB. It’s not just him who is coy about his injuries. Even Josh Hart followed his captain’s method. “He was asked today how he feels. He used the word “exquisite.” Neither of those Knicks players are listed on the injury report. Both are refusing to even acknowledge the injury,” said Reddy. The team’s regular-season steals leader, however, did provide a vague update about him dealing with his injury.
“Hart did in fact today say that they looked at some things, meaning some imaging, but would not reveal what sort of imaging.” As per the TNT reporter, it could range from X-ray to an MRI, but there was no direct reply to confirm the report.
This is a developing story…
