Kirsten Dunst, Gabrielle Union & More Celebrate 25 Years of Bring It On

The popular teen comedy Bring It On turned 25 in August. The lead cast, including Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union, reunited to celebrate its anniversary at the Alamo Drafthouse in Los Angeles. Following a special anniversary screening, the cast also participated in a Q&A session with fans.

The iconic cheerleading film Bring It On turned 25 and was celebrated by both the lead cast and fans of the movie. The reunion brought together Kirsten Dunst, Gabrielle Union, Jesse Bradford, and Lindsay Sloane at the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown Los Angeles.

The event took place on September 21, with the cast and fans reliving the nostalgia through a special screening. Later, the cast engaged with the audience in a photo session and a Q&A moderated by Amanda Dobbins.

On August 24, Union also took to social media to share a heartfelt video for her fans. In the post, she thanked viewers who continue to draw inspiration from her character, Isis. She emphasized that the movie was more than just a fun cheerleading film, saying it addresses “political and socially relevant topics that are still resonating today.”

Dunst confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that she is not interested in starring in a sequel. “No. I’m like, leave good things where they are,” Dunst said.

“I don’t need to put on a cheerleading outfit,” she added. “I don’t even know what I would do — be a coach or something? Nah. Let’s leave it as is.”

Directed by Peyton Reed, the movie follows Torrance Shipman (Dunst), the new captain of her high school cheerleading squad, the Toros. She quickly discovers that the rival East Compton Clovers, led by Isis (Union), had their routines stolen by Torrance’s predecessor. Torrance must now fight for her spot as captain while navigating personal challenges.
