Square Enix shared its TGS 2025 merchandise page and it features a replica of Royal Magician Donald Duck’s signature Mage’s Staff from Kingdom Hearts. This isn’t a life-size replica, as it looks far smaller in a human hand than it does when Donald holds it. However, it does light up. It will cost 9,900円 (~$67) and debut in Japan on January 24, 2026, and there’s no worldwide release window for it yet.
This is about a 15 inch long wand (400mm), and it uses AAA batteries to light up. As with Donald Duck’s actual weapon in Kingdom Hearts, the Mage’s Staff references the classic Final Fantasy Black Mage job by looking like it has an oversized brown hat on top of a face hidden in shadows and wearing a blue robe. When a button is pressed, the blue “cloak” part of the wand lights up, which also makes the top of the hat glow too.
There’s no video showing the item in action, but Square Enix did share a number of photos on the official product page that give us an idea of what it looks like when turned off, turned on, and held in someone’s hand.

This Kingdom Hearts item is one of multiple pieces of merchandise Square Enix revealed at TGS 2025, with others being tied to Final Fantasy like the Lightning FFXIII Adorable Arts figure or the new Bright Arts Gallery Persona 5 Morgana figurine.
The Kingdom Hearts Mage’s Staff will debut in Japan on January 24, 2026, and we don't know when we'll see it worldwide yet.
