Now in its third week of release, Angel Studios’ animated offering The King of Kings appears to be slowing down. The movie’s release was timed to capitalize on the Easter weekend, which it did. But it has now started losing theaters to newer movies, especially at the domestic box office. The King of Kings recently passed what will likely be its final milestone, as it attempts to generate whatever little extra revenue that it can from overseas markets. The movie opened in the wake of The Chosen: Last Supper series, and ended up comfortably out-grossing it.
