Remember the time Nate Diaz allegedly slapped Khabib Nurmagomedov? It all went down back in 2015 at a World Series of Fighting event. The heated clash between Diaz and Khabib got so intense that both fighters had to be escorted out of the venue. But that was just the beginning. Fast forward to the UFC 310 ceremonial weigh-ins, and the younger Diaz brother reignited his rivalry with Team Khabib. After a fierce war of words, Diaz threw a water bottle at Khabib’s camp. His relentless back-and-forth with the Russians has made him quite unpopular in their region. So, what do you think happens when you invite a firebrand like Diaz to the Russian version of The Ultimate Fighter? You guessed it — a full-blown brawl.

On Wednesday, news broke that Nate Diaz had returned to California without participating in the reality show. Fans were shocked by the commotion, and soon after, videos surfaced of a brawl between a man named Zalik and Nate Diaz. The altercation became so intense that the entire house had to get involved. It was a chaos that happened in Thailand. Reacting to such hubbub, Daniel Cormier on his YouTube handle has come forward to emphasize that this brawl was brewing since the day Nate Diaz was announced to coach a team on the Russian Reality TV Show.

“Russian TUF is what they’re called, of course. At Russian tough, when you put Nate Diaz, who the Russians don’t like, on Russian TUF, there’s going to be an issue. I don’t know, it’s actually laughable because I don’t know how you couldn’t see this coming. You couldn’t see this coming when you’re looking for a person to replace me or do it if I’m not doing it,” said Cormier.

He further added, “You put Nate Diaz, Khabib, and Nate Diaz famously can’t stand each other. Khabib can’t understand how people like Nate Diaz, who he’s lost as many times as he’s lost. Nate Diaz doesn’t think Khabib’s a fighter, which is unbelievable. So these guys have been going back and forth for years. They’ve gotten into fights; they can’t be in the same area. I’m pretty sure that someone over there on Russian tough has some sort of tie to Khabib.”

Nate Diaz has had a long-standing feud with Team Khabib since the infamous slapping incident. Although the rivalry simmered down following Khabib Nurmagomedov’s retirement, it reignited at UFC 310. Daniel Cormier believes it was probably a poor decision by the show’s management to bring in Nate Diaz as a replacement, considering his animosity with Team Khabib.

Daniel Cormier believes the TUF management should be blamed for the fiasco, but who is really at fault? Well, Jon Jones and Jake Shields have come forward to provide an update on the situation.

Jon Jones and Jake Shields believe Nate Diaz was forced to take such action

Speaking to Red Corner MMA, Jon Jones stated that the experience was unlike anything he had ever faced in his entire MMA career. He described the confrontation as being fueled by aggression and hatred. “I’ve been around the Bushido spirit for a long time, that martial arts spirit where everybody has a certain degree of, kind of certain rules you don’t cross,” Jones said. “Like a martial arts spirit and everything. I don’t think there’s a lot of that here. Some guys are like warriors, and some guys are really just kind of street fighters. There’s insults, there’s weapons, this show — there’s nothing like it. There’s really nothing like it.”

According to Jones, a guy on the team named Zalik was trying to get close to Nate Diaz while introducing himself. Jones claimed that the young fighter was trying to play-fight with Diaz, which was a very bad idea. Jake Shields, who was accompanying his friend Diaz in an exclusive video, asserted that the entire management was nothing but a mess. Shields added that after speaking with Jon Jones, Zalik approached Nate Diaz and tried to grab him, which forced the UFC fighter to take action.

Shields alleges that instead of being removed from the show, the Russian fighter was permitted to re-enter the same room, where yet another brawl erupted. According to Shields, he then stepped in and tackled the same fighter who had originally clashed with Diaz. What do you think happened? Let us know in the comments.
