Kate Winslet’s Easy-to-Binge Murder Mystery Series Resurfaces on Streaming Thanks to Its New Replacement

As expected, the new HBO crime thriller Taskimmediately claimed the streaming crown after its premiere episode. Starring Mark Ruffalo and Tom Pelphrey, the show is created by Brad Inglesby, who first garnered acclaim for writing the underappreciated film Out of the Furnace, but truly broke out with the acclaimed series Mare of Easttown. The murder mystery was headlined by Kate Winslet, who won acclaim for her performance as a Philadelphia detective tasked with solving a deadly crime.
