Kate Garraway had an epic gardening ‘disaster’ which left her struggling to get into her home.
The Good Morning Britain presenter needed to buy some hardcore for some reconstruction work in the garden, but accidentally over-ordered to a hilarious degree.
In scenes we only really expect to ever see in a classic sitcom, Kate arrived home to realise the path to her front door was blocked off.
‘Ok so this is less than ideal,’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘Needed some hardcore for a small bit of #garden reconstruction – was advised about 2 tonnes – clicked on TWELVE tonnes!!!!

In a wonderfully wholesome video, Kate was absolutely baffled at the pile of hardcore filling the driveway.
As a friend filmed her returning home, she said: ‘I thought it was gonna be a lot less! Why didn’t they send it in bags?’
The mix up in measurements left the 58-year-old presenter creasing with laughter as she chuckled: ‘I think I clicked on the wrong thing! How am I actually gonna get in?’
She added: ‘Seriously, how am I gonna get in? I’m not even joking anymore!’
She had no choice but to clamber over the rubble as her friend gave her a helping hand.
In the end, she was left with no choice but to tentatively climb over the pile of rubble, and pondered: ‘What am I going to do with it all? Right, so this is entirely my fault, isn’t it?’
Kate was able to see the funny side of her mishap, and acknowledged that no one else could be blamed.
‘So, basically, it’s not two tonnes, it’s 12 tonnes. Oh my God, I can’t even blame anyone else,’ she laughed. ‘Oh no, this is a disaster!’
Not surprisingly, Kate’s followers on Instagram couldn’t get enough of the whole ordeal.
Her fellow GMB presenter Susanna Reid replied: ‘Oh Kate – this is UNREAL!’
‘Kate!!! Actually love you,’ @natcad83 commented under the video, quipping: ‘Where’s Alan Titchmarsh when you need him xx (sic)’
And @marym3107 suggested the delivery company could help out, adding: ”Oh no. Good luck glad you could still laugh… hope the company you used makes a sweet gesture and takes back 10 ton and refund.’
‘That is absolutely brilliant,’ said @adrianslowey. ‘Talk about a big mistake causing a laugh. I am in pain with laughing so hard.’
