Justin Bieber has been criticised for a ‘disturbing’ comment he left on Ariana Greenblatt’s Instagram page.
The Baby hitmaker, 31, has made plenty of headlines recently, whether it be his controversial remarks about wife Hailey Bieber ‘never being on the cover of Vogue,’ or showing his support for Chris Brown after his prison release.
For the latest, Bieber has been branded ‘creepy’ for what he wrote under Barbie actress Greenblatt’s post, given that she is 14 years his junior.
Greenblatt, 17, took to social media last night with a slew of photos from the set of the Fear Street: Prom Queen premiere, in which she plays Christy Renault.
Her carousel included shots of her posing in a black sequin mini dress with the caption: ‘fear street: prom queen is out now on netflix!!!
‘horror had always been one of my favorite genres and to have this movie be my introduction into the world was an honor [sic]’.

Fans of the child star were quick to shower her with compliments, but one comment caught everyone’s attention.
‘I love youuuuuuuuu’, Bieber wrote in a comment that Greenblatt ‘liked’.
It appears the pair have known one another for a while, with fan accounts on X sharing that he started following her in November 2023.
This was also around the time when Greenblatt modelled for Rhode, Hailey’s skincare brand, and shared photos from the shoot on her Insta.
However, that hasn’t stopped people from interpreting JB’s latest comment as somewhat unsettling, accusing him of trying to ‘flirt’ with the teenager.
As the conversation made its way to Reddit in a thread with thousands of comments, Bieber was reminded by users that Greenblatt is ‘a minor’.

‘She’s underaged and he’s a grown man’, stated @JazzyG17.
They added that Greenblatt ‘looks so similar to Selena Gomez so him just commenting to her like that makes it even weirder’.
Bieber and Gomez began dating in 2011 and had a tumultuous on-and-off romance for eight years. Speaking about their breakup, Gomez admitted in her My Mind & Me Apple TV+ documentary that the split was ‘the best thing that ever happened to [her].’
Meanwhile, fellow Reddit user @throwaway042357 said: ‘In no circumstance is it appropriate to comment this on a 17 year old girls profile when you’re a 31 year old man.’
@Fickle-Election-8137 added: ‘He is 31 and this little girl is 17, that is so inappropriate. He could have left a sweet, appropriate message supporting her but of course he had to cross a line 🙄’
Others accused him of ‘disrespecting’ wife Hailey, whom he married in 2018 and shares a young son with.

@ZealousidealBreath69 said: ‘Justin seem more supportive of a 17-year-old girl and Chris Brown than his own wife after her Vogue cover. He seems to enjoy embarrassing her at every opportunity.’
‘He can’t help but be WEIRD’, declared @Some_Ad_6511.
In contrast, some fans jumped in to defend Bieber, with @truestorygrande writing on X that Bieber seemed to be declaring his love for Greenblatt’s recent project, adding: ‘i’ve literally commented that under an actors post before, younger than me, and i’m married…. and does my husband freak out? hahahaha no?’
‘yall are way too woke for 0 reason let him be omg’, added @pizzaauchorizoo
Bieber has not addressed the backlash but has appeared in high spirits in various public sightings this week, despite having faced the wrath of the internet on numerous occasions.
The Yummy pop star stepped out in West Hollywood after deleting his caption about telling his other half she’d never make Vogue, saying he felt ‘disrespected’ and wanted to ‘get even’.

Bieber concluded the post with: ‘So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a Vogue cover cuz clearly I was sadly mistaken [sic].’
Meanwhile, after musician Brown – with whom Bieber has collaborated in the past – was freed on bail, he penned a warm comment of support.
Brown, 36, was being held at a Manchester prison after being charged with grievous bodily harm with intent but was let out this week and ordered to pay the court a £5million security fee to ensure he returns.
Under Brown’s first social media post since his arrest, Bieber wrote: ‘Welcome home’.
His comment quickly attracted thousands of likes, but many questioned why Bieber wished to continue publicly aligning himself with the divisive R&B star.
Reps for Justin Bieber have been contacted for comment.
