Joe Rogan weighed in on ABC’s suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! during a new episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. He said, “I definitely don’t think that the government should be involved, ever, in dictating what a comedian can or cannot say in a monologue.” Rogan said he stayed silent initially because he was on a hunting trip with little internet access.

The podcaster noted ABC suspended Kimmel over his September 15 remarks about the “MAGA gang” and Charlie Kirk’s death. Walt Disney Company said, “Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country.” Disney confirmed Kimmel’s return on Tuesday following discussions with him.

Rogan called Kimmel “a good guy,” “a smart guy,” and “a funny guy.” He cautioned conservatives who supported the suspension, stating, “You’re crazy for supporting this. Because this will be used on you.” He added, “The companies, if they’re being pressured by the government — so if that’s real — and if people on the right are like, ‘Yeah, go get ’em.’ Oh, my God, you’re crazy.”

He further said, “You don’t think that the f—ing globalist lizard people who run the world are sitting here going: ‘Great, what do we got — three years? We’ll wait this out.’” Rogan also remarked that Kimmel’s comments were “just a setup to a joke” aimed at MAGA supporters.

While Kimmel returns to air, Sinclair Broadcasting Group and Nexstar announced they would not air the series. Trump and some Republicans welcomed the suspension, while others in politics and Hollywood denounced it as censorship. Rogan concluded, “All this does is help him. It makes his show bigger.”
