Joe Rogan has sparked conversation once again, with his remarks about Katy Perry’s Blue Origin spaceflight. During a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the podcast host poked fun at Perry’s brief trip to space and media coverage around it. His remarks have since gone viral, drawing mixed reactions from fans.

What did Joe Rogan say about Katy Perry’s Blue Origin Spaceflight?

Joe Rogan didn’t hold back when discussing Katy Perry’s recent trip to space with Blue Origin, using his podcast to poke fun at the media coverage surrounding the suborbital flight. During a conversation with comedian Tim Dillon on The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan sarcastically remarked, “I don’t know if you’ve seen Katy Perry talk about it, but she’s basically a guru now.”

Dillon noted that the crew was only in space for around 10 minutes. To this, Rogan replied, “Let’s celebrate female astronauts,” before pointing out how male astronauts traditionally go through years of training, pilot experience, and military service before going to space.

Dillon added another jab, seemingly referencing astronaut Sunita Williams, who was stuck on the International Space Station for months before being brought home on a SpaceX capsule. The comedian said, “I think there was a b—- stuck on a space station for a few months, that’s terribly more impressive.”

Rogan also addressed skepticism around the event, noting that the flight only reached the edge of space and didn’t involve the dangerous reentry. He said, “They did not get, like, way out there where reentry is very traumatic.” He ended by mocking how easily the crew were labeled “astronauts.”

The Blue Origin NS-31 mission was the first all-female crew launched by the company in six decades. It included Perry, Gayle King, Lauren Sánchez, Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen, and Kerianne Flynn. The 11-minute spaceflight garnered significant attention over the span of few days.
