The New York Jets’ main man under centre is back.

Justin Fields will start Monday night against the Miami Dolphins, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn told reporters on Saturday.

Coach Glenn said that Fields, who was a full participant during the team’s first two days of practice this week, cleared the concussion protocol on Friday.

“Justin is playing,” Glenn said.

Fields suffered the concussion during Week 2 and missed New York’s Week 3 game against Tampa Bay.

The 26-year-old QB signed a two-year, $40-million deal with the Jets in the off-season after going 4-2 as a starter with Pittsburgh last season.

Fields had a standout debut against the Steelers in Week 1 with a touchdown pass and two TD runs in a loss. However, he struggled mightily against Buffalo, going just 3 of 11 for 27 yards and running for 49 yards on five carries before leaving the game with the concussion.

After being selected by the Bears with the 11th pick in 2021, Fields owns a 14-32 record as a starter with 6,674 yards, 40 touchdown passes and 30 interceptions.

But the QB is as dynamic a runner as there is in the NFL, totalling 2,606 yards and 21 TDs on the ground, including a 1,143-yard campaign in 2022 — one of three 1,000-plus seasons all-time.

In the Jets’ 2025 season opener, Fields completed 16 passes for 218 and a score, while running for another 48 yards and two TDs.

Both the Jets and Dolphins are off to 0-3 starts heading into Monday night’s AFC East showdown.
