She went on to marry actor Justin Theroux in 2015, but they announced their divorce three years later in 2018.

Just weeks ago, Aniston revealed why she never considered adoption despite her infertility issues.

The actress, 56, opened up about the sensitive topic in an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard and Monica Padman.

Padman has been discussing the process of freezing her eggs and asked Aniston, who has been open about her infertility journey, if she has found "peace" after accepting that she would not be having children.

"It's so peaceful," the Morning Show actress said, "But I will say there's a point where it's like out of my control. There's literally nothing I can do about it."

"When people say, 'But you can adopt,' I don't want to adopt, I want my own DNA in a little person. That's the only way, selfish or not, whatever that is, I've wanted it."

The actress said she would sometimes feel a yearning for children after meeting someone and thinking they "would have made some good kids", but the feeling would "pass within three seconds".

The Friends star later added, "It just wasn't in the plan, whatever the plan was.

"It's very emotional, especially in the moment when they say 'that's it,' because there is a weird moment when that happens."
