With two back-to-back box-office underperformers to his name this year, Jason Statham desperately needs a win. One may be coming around the corner in the shape of an action sequel to one of Statham's biggest recent hits. Aside from franchise entries such as Hobbs & Shaw and Meg 2: The Trench, Statham has largely relied on original action movies in his career. He followed up one of his biggest bombs, Expend4bles, with a new movie that exceeded every expectation at the box office, outgrossing even Wrath of Man, Statham's well-received reunion with director Guy Ritchie. The movie in question was recently added to the Peacock library, with mere months to go until the sequel lands in theaters.
