Jason Statham’s ‘Die Hard’ Replacement Officially Gets a Rotten Tomatoes Reality Check

2026 hasn’t exactly been a banner year for Jason Statham so far, who starred in only one movie that failed to turn a profit at the box office. Statham’s Shelter came out of the gates hot with some of the best reviews of his action vehicles, but the film needed to gross around $100 million to break even at the box office, and it left theaters after eking out only $54 million during its entire run. The action thriller has found redemption streaming on Starz, and it’s expected to continue this success throughout the year. Statham is also returning to one of his best roles from the last few years with Adam Clay in The Beekeeper 2, which is coming to theaters in the first few weeks of 2027.
