Jason Statham will probably have to wait a few more months before he can get back on track at the box office with the upcoming The Beekeeper 2. Statham’s two major releases of 2026, Shelterand Mutiny, have both underperformed at the box office. While Shelter grossed $5.5 million in its opening weekend in January, Mutinymade $7.5 million in its debut frame this past weekend. Both movies received mixed reviews and will likely become profitable through ancillary streams in the future, but their box-office results will always appear underwhelming. It’s been a while since Statham starred in a bona fide blockbuster; The Beekeeperexceeded expectations with a $160 million-plus haul, but even that was around a fifth of what Statham’s biggest hit as an above-the-title star managed to gross. The movie in question is currently streaming in the United States on Peacock, but only for a little while longer.
