What a time to be a Knicks fan! A team heading into the Conference Finals after 25 long years. Two bona fide superstars, Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns leading the charge. And a supporting cast determined to win the championship. What more could you ask for?

On Friday, the Knicks proved themselves as legitimate title contenders by dethroning the reigning champs. As expected, the 38-point blowout victory left New York buzzing, as thousands of passionate fans took over the city to celebrate. Turns out, even the players were in a bit of a party mood following their historic feat. Per reports, several Knicks stars, including Brunson, KAT, and OG Anunoby partied with actor Timothee Chalamet and NFL quarterback Russell Wilson at Chez Margaux after eliminating the Celtics.

However, even amid celebration, they knew not to take things too far. When generously offered free champagne by their celebrity friends, Jalen Brunson and Co. respectfully refused. Sure enough, they understood that the job is far from over and they need to win eight more games before they can truly celebrate. Reports confirmed that Knicks players “are locked in and were just there to celebrate the win and weren’t drinking.”

Although Brunson was happy with his team’s performance on Friday, his focus now is on continuing the same form for the rest of the playoffs. “The way we competed and communicated out there, it’s definitely one of our better performances. But I still feel like we have a long way to go. This confidence we have in each other and everything, just being where we are… we’re going to continue to be unsatisfied.” He said postgame. So obviously, drinking is out of the picture, at least for now.

Even Mikal Bridges has a similar mindset, as he stated, “More to go, you know? We’re not done. And that’s what it is. We came out there tonight, played hard, handled biz. But season’s not over. We got so much more to go.” They will need this focus for the upcoming Pacers series.

Tom Thibodeau refuses to get carried away as he reveals Knicks’ ultimate goal ahead of East Finals

Although eliminating the Celtics was a massive accomplishment, the Knicks realize that the Pacers are going to pose an equally tough challenge in the next round. Last year, they failed to get past Tyrese Haliburton and Co. after taking the second round series to seven games. So, JB knows that its not going to be easy, “I mean you gotta have lot of composure, lot of fight. I mean they’re a good team as well and we have a long way to go.”

Even Tom Thibodeau, although happy with his team’s performance so far, knows that there is a lot left to achieve, “We can’t get carried away. Obviously, it’s a great win, and we advance, and you look at that, but you also understand that you have to get ready for the next series. We know Indiana is a terrific team, and we’re going to have to be ready.”

Obviously, the head coach and his team have only one goal in mind, “The goal is always to win a championship. We’ve got eight wins. You need 16. And each one gets harder and harder, so you’ve got to keep fighting.” So, while partying with Wilson and Chalamet must have been a memorable moment for the entire Knicks roster, they have already begun preparation for Wednesday’s Game 1 against the Pacers. Do you believe they can carry this momentum all the way till June?
