One month ago, CinemaCon attendees were offered the first glimpse of Weapons,Zach Cregger’s long-awaited follow-up to his 2022 horror hit, Barbarian. The reports from the Colosseum at Caesars Palace gave us our first indication of the plot and what roles the star-studded cast, that includes Julia Garner and Josh Brolin, would be taking on. Then, just last week, the debut teaser was released, which led viewers to a website made by the marketing team. On the website, those who kept their eyes peeled saw a connection made between Weapons and Barbarian, leading many to believe that the two films take place in the same universe or are at the very least connected in some way.
