-Shannen Doherty finishes up her interview with Kevin Smith in pt.2 of their conversation
-Kevin reveals that he has been attempting to get Mallrats 2 made but Universal holds the rights and arent interested in doing a sequel or selling him the rights to the property. Kevin hopes that since Shannen has been getting plenty of publicity due to her podcast (w/Holly and co..) that this could get more media coverage for Mallrats 2.
-During the conversation he has a revelation that perhaps Peacock could make it happen since they work with Universal and do original programming.
-They do a brief reading of the intro of the script that reveals Brodie/Renee got married, had a daughter, are currently separated. Brodie runs a comic shop in a rundown mall.
-They also talk about Shannens career. How Tori saw Shannen in Heathers and suggested her to Aaron which helped lead to her auditioning for Brenda (Aaron was known for casting anyone who Tori liked on tv/film lol)
-She's had plenty of agents throughout the years that have been excited to work with her but run into barriers in getting her auditions with studios often afraid to work with her due to her reputation from 90210 and her cancer diagnosis but she knows enough filmmakers that keep her employed.
-She never really got the point in her career that she had to stop auditioning, with Charmed being one of the few roles she didnt audition for. She doesnt mind auditioning for the right roles if they do come up.
-Luckily her photographic memory hasnt been impacted by her brain surgery but she finds nowadays that relying on it can leave her less connected to a character since she usually can do a once over and remember everything.
