Aamir Khan has joined hands with Rajkumar Hirani for Dadasaheb Phalke biopic. In an interview with entertainment news portal Pinkvilla, Aamir Khan spoke about the biopic and called it a huge honour and responsibility. He was quoted saying, "I think, Phalke is a huge challenge. Again, it's not a regular mainstream film loaded with action and set pieces. It is the story of a man, who did things that no one could even imagine back in the day."

Reportedly, South filmmaker SS Rajamouli is also planning to make a biopic on Dadasaheb Phalke with Jr NTR as the lead actor.
