Insomniac to Host RuPaul’s Homecoming Show at San Diego’s Liberty Station

RuPaul is performing at Insomniac’s first event at Ingram Plaza, joined by BAMBII b2b LSDXOXO, Chippy Nonstop, Alex Chapman, and SHE/CLAY.

San Diego native RuPaul is coming home for a special performance on October 17. Insomniac has announced that the drag icon, recording artist, and television personality is set to headline a show at Ingram Plaza in Liberty Station. The event will also feature globally renowned artists BAMBII b2b LSDXOXO, Chippy Nonstop, Alex Chapman, and SHE/CLAY.

More than three decades after breaking onto the scene with hit single “Supermodel (You Better Work)”, RuPaul continues to release music and perform on some of the world’s biggest stages. This homecoming brings the entertainer back to where his journey first began, marking a full-circle moment in his celebrated career.

Joining RuPaul on the lineup are several artists who have been making waves in the global electronic music scene. Canadian DJ and producer BAMBII will team up for a back-to-back set with with LSDXOXO, a producer and performer known for blending club music with hip-hop. Also set to perform is Chippy Nonstop, a DJ and producer known for her high-energy sets and ’90s throwbacks. Alex Chapman will bring his distinct style, fusing queer-positive themes with dynamic electronic soundscapes, while rising DJ and producer SHE/CLAY rounds out the lineup.

Together, the artists will curate a night that celebrates the diversity and evolution of contemporary dance music. Fans can expect an evening of high-energy performances, genre-blending sounds, and a celebration of self-expression through music. The event will mark the first time Insomniac has hosted a gathering at Ingram Plaza, bringing a new dance music experience to Liberty Station.
