BEYONCE saddles up for her tenth concert tour, rocking western style in a spectacular rodeo of sights and sounds — with her two daughters along for the ride.

The American superstar kicked off her Cowboy Carter series of gigs in Los Angeles on Monday night, at one point performing Tyrant balanced on a gleaming mechanical bull.

The two-hour-45-minute spectacle in support of her Grammy-winning 2024 album, also saw Beyonce float over the arena on a horse shoe and later in a red car.

Flanked by more than 24 dancers, she belted out her hits in a string of glamorous outfits, including a white Mugler bodysuit and a figure-hugging red catsuit.

After cameos as a backing dancer during her 2023 Renaissance world tour, her eldest daughter Blue Ivy joined her to perform several complex choreographed routines.

The 13-year-old later strutted the length of the stage to her mum’s 2006 chart- topper Deja Vu — receiving a rapturous reception from the sold-out SoFi Stadium.

Her youngest daughter Rumi, seven, featured in her first on-stage performance in a gold dress.

In the cutest moment of the evening, Beyonce sang Protector to the seven-year-old, who excitedly waved at the crowd and hugged the star.

Despite their daughters’ inclusion, the singer’s husband Jay Z and their son Sir, also seven, are not believed to have been at the show.

During the sixth act, she referenced her 2022 album Renaissance and stood atop a lifesize golden horse, similar to the silver steed on the record’s cover, as she sang I’m That Girl.

Other standouts included a huge dress covered in LED bulbs, a piano set on fire and a robotic arm that poured the singer a whisky on stage.

Among the stars in the audience were Rita Ora and her Hollywood director husband Taika Waititi, singer Lizzo and telly host Oprah Winfrey.

Beyonce also took the opportunity to praise other black country artists and flashed images on screen of acts including Linda Martell and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

She said: “I want to thank all of those who came before me. I want to thank my fans for letting me make this album. Thank you for giving me the creative liberty to challenge myself.”

‘I hope y’all had fun’

Nineteen of the 36 songs performed were from her latest album — her fifth No1 solo collection — including hits Texas Hold ’Em, Jolene and II Most Wanted.

It was her first time singing much of the project live, as her only other performance from this era was an NFL half-time show on Christmas Day.

Near the end of the show, she said: “I have the best fans in the world. I love you so much. We worked so hard to make this as perfect as we could for y’all. I hope y’all had fun.”

The tour will gallop into the UK in June when she will smash her own record for the most performances by any artist or band at North London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Beyonce, who played five shows there in 2023, will return for six nights — on June 5, 7, 10, 12, 14 and 16 — before a string of dates in Paris.

Tickets are on sale at livenation.co.uk.

The Crazy In Love singer is scheduled to play four more nights in Los Angeles before stints in Chicago and New Jersey.

After her European dates, she will return to the US for further shows until July.

She is then expected to follow up the project with another album next year, after announcing that Renaissance and Cowboy Carter were part of a trilogy.

On her website in 2022, she confirmed: “This three-act project was recorded over three years during the pandemic.

“A time to be still, but also a time I found to be the most creative.”
