Imax Revenue Jumps 10% to $87 Million in First Quarter on Record Success of 'Ne Zha 2'
The first quarter of the 2025 box office was a poor one for American theaters, but Imax was able to avoid taking a hit in their Q1 earnings thanks in good part to the record-smashing success of the animated sequel "Ne Zha 2" in China. In the company's earnings report released Wednesday, Imax reported a 10% year-over-year increase in revenue to $87 million, beating consensus Wall Street projections of $84 million.
