If you are a fan of Terry Pratchett's Discworld, specifically the characters within Ankh-Morpork's City Watch, then you have to read one fantastic short story by the author featuring some of the same characters. The City Watch of Ankh Morpork and their various hijinks, to me, create the plots of some of the best Discworld books. Between Vimes' valiant attempts to keep the group on task or Carrot's ability to fail upwards, it is no surprise that the City Watch branch of Pratchett's series is one of the most popular, with many recommending Guards!
